New for 2008: EBSCO Publishing
The Virginia Association of Teachers of English has entered into a formal licensing agreement with EBSCO Publishing, the provider of EBSCOhost, to include the content of the Virginia English Bulletin in the EBSCOhost databases. EBSCOhost databases are the most-used, premium online information resources for tens of thousands of institutions worldwide, representing millions of end-users. Virginia English Bulletin is honored to be included in EBSCO's informational library products. Of course, EBSCOhost users will not have automatic access to the full text of any individual issue of VEB in a single session, but may now find VEB articles among other materials cross-indexed by subject, title, author, key word, and/or date of publication.
GREAT TEACHING IDEAS
The Virginia English Bulletin invites you to submit articles of two to ten pages describing great teaching ideas. Chosen submissions will be featured in our great teaching ideas column, which appears in each fall and spring issue of the VEB.
No one teacher possesses all the knowledge required to teach the ever widening range of topics and students that we face from year to year. Yet there is a solution. We can learn from each other. This column asks you to share with fellow teachers the activities, materials, or assignments that have worked for you and your students. By sharing ideas and borrowing ideas teachers work together to develop repertoires of strategies that work. We invite your submissions.
DEADLINE for Spring issues: April 1
DEADLINE for Fall issues: September 15
